Company history

Sam-Mao Technology Electronics' circuit-board business began in 1988. Wu Lien Electronics, then based in Shulin, took printed circuit boards as its core: single- and double-sided first, building a full process from cut and drill through plate, solder mask, and route, and putting down roots in Taiwan electronics manufacturing.

Over the next thirty years the industry moved through personal computers, communications, consumer electronics, then industrial and automotive control. Traces tightened, layer counts rose, and materials went from glass-epoxy to aluminum and rigid-flex. Wu Lien grew with that market: multilayer, impedance control, blind and buried vias, aluminum, and rigid-flex, then brought SMT and DIP onto the same service window so customers could go from sample development into volume without changing the chain.

As capacity shifted and high-end boards crowded out mid-volume lots, the company gathered process and customer relationships into a clearer engineering window and opened the next stage of work. The name used in business today is Sam-Mao Electronics Co., Ltd. The scope covers printed circuit boards and surface-mount assembly, made in Taiwan, from prototype and engineering validation through production, supporting domestic and overseas electronics system makers as their products go to market worldwide.
